Small Bore Rifle
ADRC is a National Smallbore Rifle Association (NSRA) affiliated club and we shoot in National League competitions, as well as in County and Regional competitions. There are also a number of internal club competitions during the year. However, we recognise that not everyone is interested in competition shooting , so it’s quite ok just to shoot for personal improvement and the fun that it brings. Shooting is a mental as well as a physical sport and we have coaches and instructors who are there to encourage and help you to reach whatever your potential might be.
All new members undergo a training course to learn the basics of shooting and the safety involved with this sport as well as the discipline required to succeed to a high level of proficiency.
We have a wide range of experience in the Small Bore Rifle Section, from International level all the way down to recently joined members, starting their own journey of discovery of the skills needed to become a proficient shooter. All of these members are very happy to share their skills so as to help anyone improve. Who knows, you may even end up being our latest addition to a County or even an International team.
We shoot on a Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings. Please contact the Membership Secretary if you want to learn more about what is needed to become a member of Ashford & District Rifle Club.
